What is the difference between a mortgage broker and a mortgage lender?
- A lender is a financial institution that makes loans directly to you, the client. A broker does not lend any money. A broker’s job is to find a lender for you and “broker” or work out the details for a deal. A broker may work with many lenders and because of this can usually help you find the best deal (assuming you ar using a well-rounded and trustworthy broker). Whether you use a broker or a lender, you should always shop around for the best loan terms and the lowest interest rates and fees.
